Below are some links that refer to the situation in Tibet & China's response that our own Dictatorship supports. At this point in time China has murdered approx 1.5 million Tibetans in its attempt to crush the indigenous people's culture, religion & freedoms. But how could we expect any less from China's Dictatorship, Frankie's new buddies? He turns his back to the Countries who exercise democracy and are concerned for the Fijian people, yet welcomes and kisses up to those who wish no good for anyone.

So study some of the links below and see if you can recognize any of our illegal regime's tactics. Get a good look at what you can look forward to if their agenda is not halted.

Fiji & China ties concern at ties between Fiji & China. Seems Frankie and Chaudhry have a few more bed buddies… cozy

Excellent - well pictured and well researched . I think the world knows that all normal Fijians DO NOT support this cosying up to China - we all know that the regime is prostituting themselves to China for $170 million dollars and more they are hoping will come their way. Very shameful !

Thank you for your graphics they are well apreciated.

Prostituting to the US full spectrum dominance is perhaps a human right violation which F.S may cordone.
Here we have China responding to violent protesters. Compare that with innocent civilians who were kidnapped off the streets of their hometown and flown to interrogation camps in Gitmo.
The records of torture at Abu Gharib far exceeds that in Tibet.
Talk about law, we have a US President who commuted the sentence of a Scooter Libby who outed the CIA agent Valerie Plane, under the orders of the US VP Dick Cheney, who was recently was asked about his reactions that a majority of US citizens oppose the War in Iraq-he responded, So!.

Then you compare the war crimes of the Bush and his lies about WMDs in Iraq.

Shock and Awe killed far more people than China did in Tibet. And still the reason for the massacre of innocent people in Iraq has been
so under reported. How about the SAS soldiers caught in Basra in 2005 who were caught disguised as Arabs after shooting at Iraqi police and then freed by an assault on the prison.

You say, “Violent protestors”?!!! Are you blind? China quickly reigned in any type of coverage of the protests. Why is that? Would it not have benefited them to show themselves defending against “violent protestors”? What little information that escaped shows quite clearly non violent people being beaten, shot, killed. The riots that have broken out are the fault of the Chinese government as much as anyone. Im afraid Fiji may one day see how people eventually lash back when they are repressed forcefully and not allowed any other from of protest or are refused to be heard by a Dictatorship. Why is China so afraid to engage in dialog or allowing the Tibetans their own indigenous way of life? The Chinese went in and took over and have been attempting to rape the Tibetans of their culture, religion and way of life since they forced this occupation upon them. Sound familiar? I am sure you defend the tactics of our own Illegal Regime the same as you do China’s brutal dictatorship.

Funny you should mention people being “kidnapped of the streets of their hometown..” But you say nothing how in Fiji they actually come to your home to accost you.

You said, "The records of torture at Abu Gharib far exceeds that in Tibet." Your comment is so typical of the asinine, idiotic comments from members of our current Junta. Did you spend even 2 minutes attempting any logical thinking before you typed that? You were given plenty of references further up in the comments in this post of facts concerning the China/Tibetan situation. It might behoove you to do a little of your own research before you accuse mindlessly. One statistic states that less than ONE-HALF of ONE PERCENT of detainees in Iraq have been abused or tortured. Lets say that stat is wrong and its 10 times worse…. It would still be a drop in the bucket compared to what is believed to be over 1.5 million Tibetans who have died at the hands of China. Tell me again how atrocities at Abu exceed that of China in Tibet.

I asked the question in a pervious post, what is the percentage of Fijian’s who have been been abused or murdered in relation to those who have been detained? I’d say your odds are much better at Abu Ghraib of being treated safely or fairly. Why is it that Abu has been cleaned up and guilty soldiers have been prosecuted as well as those in authority over them. You could take lessons from Abu as we have our own murdered soldiers (not even enemies of the state! Our own PEOPLE!) whose murderers have still not been brought to justice 8 yrs later. Don’t point fingers at the rest of the world in order to distract or not hold yourself accountable. Frankie is quick to deport a reporter but slow to bring accountability in his own ranks. Well well.. I wonder why that is????

I asked the question in an earlier post, what is the percentage here in Fiji of those who are detained and abused and murdered while being detained? Maybe the percentage is much closer to China than to the US or any other democracy? Maybe we surpass China? Take note of our lovely present leadership and their admiration of certain dictatorships…. and then hope that you never voice an opinion that differs from theirs.

Many of the Iraqis that you mentioned being “kidnapped” were due to fellow Iraqis who turned them in. Not unlike a program our present dictatorship attempted to implement where all one had to do was report someone of suspected law breaking or of saying something against this Regime and they were abruptly carted off to suffer the consequences as implemented by thugs in military uniforms. It’s laughable and so transparent how its suddenly so critical that we reinstate the Fiji Intelligent Services. The only threats we have from terrorism is the terror that this self appointed group of thugs and idiots have thrust upon Fijians that dare to question or interfere with the course that they themselves have admitted nothing will sway them from.

I do not believe it is a huge stretch of the imagination to say that Bainimarama would have found that same level of admiration he has for China just as easily for likes of Saddam. Did you know that Abu Ghraib was Saddam’s well known torture chamber where he murdered hundreds of thousands for no reason other than religious or ethnic differences? He was known to kill hundreds in a day. The “torture” you speak of that is implemented by western cultures is laughable to those dictatorships who have spent generations perfecting “torture” on their own people. A hood over the head was classified as “torture”! I do not condone needless killing & war is never fair. But if you were going to be a POW, who would you choose for your captors? Fiji who beats defenseless women & innocent civilians & murders her own soldiers? China whose lists of tortures are in an earlier post? The Iraqi coalition forces whose containment centers feed prisoners better than some Fijian’s are eating right now?

Finger pointing at everyone else is so typical of this Junta’s responses to questions or accusations. Shameem (who has made the FHRC a joke) recently had the gall to bring up the issue of state funds in a NZ case being used to buy underwear (personal expenses) TEN YEARS AGO!!! That was a response of hers when challenged on human rights in FIJI. As I said, “asinine” best describes most of what comes out of their mouths when they are foolish enough to try and justify what they cannot justify and point fingers when they should be looking at themselves. I wish buying underwear 10 yrs ago was the worst that someone could point fingers at us for.

As far as Dick Cheney, why do you worry about a “So!” When the Tyrant who you seem to support told our own indigenous people to go drink grog under a tree and tell their problems to Santa Claus!!! Now there’s some real “leadership” … NOT!! We wont go into analyzing his mental, emotional or intellectual capacities.

I think “Shock and Awe” could well be the label of the current regime’s effect on Fiji. We are constantly being shocked and awed by their lies and actions.

It may benefit you my friend to go read this wonderful article that I think breaks it down into terms simple enough for most to understand and see how it applies to each one of us here and now. Be sure and try to read all 3 parts of the posting.
